Aida Bakhtiari

Artist and media educator at the MZM

Aida Bakhtiari is an artist and media educator at Medienzentrum München des JFF (Munich Media Centre). She works at the intersection of art, media education and technology and focusses on the effects of new technologies on (self-)perception, culture and society. Aida was a master student at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste (Academy of Fine Arts) in Munich. She studied art and multimedia, specialising in media informatics, at the LMU Munich, where she is now a guest lecturer.

Luc-Carolin Ziemann

Film mediator and curator

Luc-Carolin Ziemann has been dedicated to film education for 20 years. She works with children, young people and teachers for institutions such as Vision Kino, the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (Federal Agency for Civic Education) and various festivals. She also works as a curator, dramaturge and author. As full-time Filmverführerin, she prefers to focus on documentary forms, following the beautiful phrase attributed to Frederico Fellini: "Nothing is more fantastic than reality".

Paul Hordych

Filmmaker, Drehmetrie Kollektiv

Paul Hordych is 23 years old and from Munich. He is a co-founder of Drehmetrie – a film collective of eight young filmmakers who simply started making short films together without any prior knowledge. Since then, Paul has completed his training as a media designer for image and sound at the film production company EVISCO in Munich and has been studying directing at Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Berlin since 2022.

Christina Wolf

Journalist and moderator, Bayerischer Rundfunk

Christina Wolf is a journalist and presenter for Bayern2 and Puls, the youth programme of Bayerischer Rundfunk. She gained her experience as a reporter and author at Deutschlandradio, ZDF and Arte, among others. Christina won the German Audiobook Award with her podcast "Transformer". In the RESPEKT programme, she regularly appears on camera in favour of an open and tolerant society, and she tracks down the truth for so geht MEDIEN. Christina presents the major award ceremonies at DOK.fest München every year. And if she hadn't ended up as a radio presenter, she would probably be making documentary films herself.

Mathis Welker

Secondary school teacher, Young BLLV

Mathis Welker is a newly qualified teacher at a Munich secondary school and a member of the board of Junger BLLV (Young BLLV). He is particularly committed to a fairer education policy and sustainable development. As a budding cineaste and enthusiastic cinema-goer, these topics are a regular part of his lessons in visual form. He has often been a guest at DOK.fest München and is now looking forward to visiting the event from a different perspective – as part of the DOK.education jury.
