Sand as far as the eye can see. Passing through the middle of this desert land runs the Trans-Sahara Highway. A small stone block lies on its edge: Malika’s kiosk. Here she prepares tea and omelettes for her patrons: lorry drivers, adventurers, dreamers and seekers.
Biography
Hassen Ferhani was born in Algiers in 1986. His first short film LES BAIES D'ALGER was selected in official competition by several international festivals. In 2008, he participated in a summer program of LA FEMIS filmschool in Paris. His first feature film DANS MA TÊTE UN ROND-POINT, about the slaughterhouses in Algiers, was shown at DOK.fest München in 2016.
