She is one of four female politicians with East German backgrounds portrayed in the film. Biography
Sabine Michel
Worked as a director's and camera assistant. Work stays in Paris (FEMIS) and Lisbon, directing studies at the Film University "Konrad Wolf" Potsdam/Babelsberg. Foreign correspondent for N24. Since then, films for cinema and television that address socially relevant issues. Her portrait of the photographer Sibylle Bergemann is awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize and the Marler Gruppe Prize. She is a member of the German Film Academy.
