Draconic punishments are threatened if the emissions values do not improve. An environmental protection agency in the Chinese city of Langfang is under pressure. Should they ban coal burning stoves, close workshops and in doing so plunge half of the city into unemployment?
Biography
Meng Han worked as a photojournalist for the Beijing News for twelve years. As a filmmaker, she deals with topics that shed light on the ruptures of Chinese society. In 2014 she was awarded the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship. She lives and works in Beijing.
