A dance performance tells the life story of the 90 year-old holocaust survivor Éva Fahidi. The director and choreographer Réka Szabó stages the performance with Fahidi and the dancer Emese Cuhorka. Dance as therapy and coping with trauma. An approach that is as touching as it is innovative.
We presented the German premiere of the film at DOK.fest München 2020 @home.
Biography
Réka Szabó, born in Budapest in 1969, graduated in mathematics and informatics, meanwhile she fell in love with contemporary dance. Now she works as the artistic director of "The Symptoms", one of the most significant contemporary dance-theatre companies in Hungary. THE EUPHORIA OF BEING is her first feature-length documentary.
