Since a nervous breakdown, the piano virtuoso Martín Perino has been in a psychiatric hospital. Once hailed as a child prodigy, he now finds himself confronted with his failure. A piano composition helps him to take the first steps on the arduous path back to life.
We present the German premiere of the film at DOK.fest München 2020 @home.
Biography
Artemio Benki, born 1966 in Paris, has lived and worked in Prague since the early 1990s. In 1994 he founded the film production company Sirena Film. In addition to documentaries, he has produced numerous feature films, including the Oscar-nominated A ROYAL AFFAIR (2012). SOLO was his documentary feature film debut as a director. Benki died in April 2020 after a long illness.
