Young and in love, the filmmaker’s parents moved to Nigeria at the start of the 70s. Jide was 10 when his mother moved back to Denmark with him and his sisters and pursued a long-distance marriage. Now she wants a divorce but her husband does not. The family is bigger than she thought. A love story in reverse.

Jide Tom Akinelminu
Raised in Nigeria and Denmark, Akinelminu studied at the Danish art photography school Fatamorgana and at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). He spends a lot of time in Nigeria through his film projects. He works as a cameraman and documentary filmmaker and lives in Berlin.
