Zoë Schmederer

The Munich-based cinematographer and filmmaker was drawn to the far north for her training. From 2006 to 2007, she lived above the Arctic Circle and studied experimental film at the Nordland Kunst- og Filmskolen in Lofoten. She was then accepted at the Norwegian Film School in Lilllehammer, where she graduated as a cinematographer in 2010. She has been back in Munich since 2011 and works as a freelance cinematographer, filmmaker and artist on projects at home and abroad.
In 2018, she was nominated for the German Camera Award for her work on the documentary mini-series FRÜHER OR LATER.
With her work for DOK.education, she is building on her past as a seminar leader for further education (including rhetoric, pedagogy and educational games).
