SHIFT CINEMA!
Playground Documentaries is a brand new format at DOK.forum carefully developed for our international Industry Guests. This years’ Playgrounds shed light on distribution of documentaries in many different ways. In an informal atmosphere, the speakers and audience will exchange ideas, talk about their projects and difficulties and concentrate on new possibilities and solutions. It aims on sharing experts insights and gives space for an active audience to create visions for documentary.

SHIFT CINEMA!
Social impact campaigns for films becomes an urgent topic to talk about. Film markets demand impact strategies, funds add it to their application and outreach will soon become a surviving tool in the film industry.
By taking as a playground Shift Cinema, an initiative powered by a_BAHN that accompanies filmmakers in creating social impact campaigns for their films, Marion and Paula proposes you a debate on shifting boundaries between cinema, art and activism in cinematic projects with hybrid outreach campaigns. One selected project is analyzed in an interactive dialogue where the public becomes a strategic tool in taking the first steps for creating impact. The deadline to register with you project and get the chance to discuss it during the workshop is Mai, 1st, midnight.
Films have a great potential to become a connecting force that drives social change, get ready to train the audience’s “change-ability” muscle.

Paula ist eine Dokumentar- und New-Media-Filmemacherin und Social Impact Designerin. Nachdem sie ihre Projekte in renommierten Filmfestivals und Kunstgalerien realisiert hatte, hatte sie das Gefühl, dass ein großer Content fehlt, der durch multimediale und kreative Verbreitung erkundet werden kann. Sie trat dem Team von a_BAHN bei, das für ihre innovativen Kampagnen bekannt ist und gemeinsam an ihrem Traum arbeiten: Mehr Sinn und Bedeutung in die Art und Weise wie Filme konsumiert werden zu investieren. Deshalb wurde Shift Cinema geboren, wo Paula kreativen Content und Design für öffentliche Kampagnen entwickelt.
Mitbegründerin von a_BAHN
Marion ist Mitbegründerin von a_BAHN, einer Dokumentarfilm- und Spielfilmproduktionsfirma mit Sitz in Luxemburg und Frankreich, die sich auf Aktivisten und bürgerorientierte Inhalte wie sexuelle Gewalt in Kriegszeiten, Dekommunalisierung in der Ukraine oder intergenerationelle Gemeinschaft und Gesellschaft als mögliche Zukunft konzentriert.
