In the digital version of the DOK.forum we also have four endowed prizes to award.

The German Composition Funding Award, donated by SONOTON, is intended to strengthen the artistic cooperation between filmmakers and composers. The best musical concept for a documentary film will be awarded 2,500 euros.

The British Pathé Archive Award honours projects with a large share of archive material, thus strengthening a documentary genre rich in tradition. The winning project receives British Pathé archive material worth 14,000 euros or alternatively 2,500 euros in cash.

The Pitch Award for the best student pitch among nine selected projects from our partner universities is donated by the Haus des Dokumentarfilms Stuttgart and is endowed with 2,500 euros in project funding.

The new prize DOK.digital is endowed with 2,500 € and honours a project that opens up different perspectives through new narrative forms, actively involves the audience and makes stories come alive. A project that explores the possibilities of digital media and conveys journalistic-factual or documentary content beyond linear storytelling.

In addition, DOK.forum in cooperation with DAE, Sunny Side of the Docs and RIDM awards further mentoring and festival prizes. Information on the individual prizes can be found at the DOK.forum Marketplace.

The award ceremony will be held in English.
