‘If we transgress laws with our civil disobedience, it is because we are reckoning with a higher law, the law of conscience.’ In the early 1980s, Petra Kelly mobilised hundreds of thousands of people to protest against the stationing of nuclear missiles on West German soil. She co-founded the Green Party and became famous as its star. But who was the woman who was able to initiate a new, world-changing policy and take on two superpowers? With previously unseen archive footage and interviews, the film paints a picture of a sensitive and unwavering woman who allowed no one to stop her and was far ahead of her time.
