A self-portrait, the chronicle of a life, the suffering of an entire generation. Charlotte Salomon depicted her life story in more than 1300 pictures - from her childhood in 1930s Berlin, through the rise of National Socialism to her escape to France. The Coulin sisters draw a moving portrait of an artist, her tragically short life and her avant-garde work. Helga-Mari Steininger
