ADDICTED TO LIFE
Belgium, United States 2022 – Director: Pola Rapaport – Original with English subtitles (Q&A with director Pola Rapaport) – Length: 86 min.
The prospect of active euthanasia prolongs Marieke’s life. As a Belgian wheelchair athlete, she has great success and enjoys her life with independence and determination – until her body cannot take it any more. We experience her strength, humour and vulnerability until the end. A sensitive portrait and a plea for people to have the opportunity to determine the end of their lives themselves. Anna Magdalena Hofer
