With this motto in mind, the corporate giant, DOLE Food Company, led their campaign against a Swedish filmmaker and his film BANANAS!* - a film which discloses the company’s cultivation methods and the resulting health problems experienced by South American plantation workers. Not only had the company management not seen the film but they also spared no effort nor cost in their attempt to control it with their army of lawyers, PR consultants and journalists.
