For many years in "Bar El Chino" in Buenos Aires a group of musicians would get together every Friday and Saturday night to sing Tango. El Chino's bar was always packed with people; the music was raw and full of vitality and the atmosphere was electric, but after the death of the bar’s owner everything changed and the singers stopped performing - that is until now. Germán Kral tells the moving story of a group of forgotten, yet unforgettable musicians’ dream to perform once more in front of an audience, perhaps for the last time in their lives. They used to bask in the applause of the patrons of El Chino's Tango Bar, now they struggle to eke out an existence amidst Argentina's current economic and political crisis. Harking back to their glory days, the chance to perform again gives the Tango musicians hope. Featuring some of the most beautiful, melancholic songs ever written, this film pays tribute to the dignity, humour and strength of a group of irrepressible people determined to share their music just one last time.
