The guitarist Jakob Bro and his companions – including Midori Takada, Bill Frisell and Lee Konitz – don’t just make great jazz together, they also talk about it a lot. For 14 years, the filmmakers accompanied Bro on tour, during rehearsals and in his everyday life. The result is a film that gives us deep insights into the (intellectual) world of the jazz musicians and that celebrates music as an existential good. Samay Claro
Biography
Jørgen Leth is a Danish filmmaker and poet. He is considered a cult director of contemporary Scandinavian cinema. He is constantly travelling and has lived (also) in Haiti since 1991.
Andreas Koefoed graduated as a documentary film director from the National Film School of Denmark in 2009 and studied sociology at the University of Copenhagen in 2004, where he also studied anthropology and political science. Since 2001 he has been making documentaries with a focus on universal stories about the human condition.
