THE ETERNAL MEMORY
Chile 2023 – Director: Maite Alberdi – Original language: Spanish – Subtitles: English – Length: 84 min.
As a journalist, Augusto worked to ensure the crimes of the Pinochet regime were not forgotten. When he is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, he and his wife begin a battle for his own memories. Like a collage, the film depicts the stages of his disease, looks back at a life that was dedicated to collective memory and at the same time paints a moving picture of a loving relationship.
