Maya Steinberg

Maya Steinberg is a Tel Aviv-born, Berlin-based film director and editor. She started her career as a print producer for food and science magazines like National Geographic lsrael. While studying film at Tel Aviv university she worked as a video editor for lsraeli channels Reshet, Keshet and Kan. Her 2018 short film NEVER COMING BACK TO AMERICA premiered on lsraeli channel 8. ln the end of 2019 she moved to Berlin to complete a Master in Visual and Media Anthropologya Freie Univerlity Berlin, where she wrote a thesis and developed her film ONE OF US NOW, which premired in Dok Leipzig 2022. She edited the kino film MISS HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR, which premiered in German cinemas in November 2023 and co-edited A BODY LIKE MINE, which premiered in 3sat.
