Sarah Schiesser

Sarah comes from a background in political, social and media studies, which she manages to merge in her current positions. Sarah moved her first steps in the audiovisual sector in France and joined the Locarno Film Festival in 2015. She is currently Deputy Head of Open Doors, Locarno’s talent development program focusing on under-represented regions and communities. In 2022, she joined the team of Amka Films Productions (CH) as Junior Producer. Here she follows the development and production fiction and documentary features, short films with upcoming directors, including animation, and serial content. She collaborates with Cinédokké (CH) and Lido Pictures (CH) on specific projects. Sarah is also an alumni of the international co-production workshop EAVE - Ties That Bind (2018).
