Joana Georgi

Joana lives in Berlin and works as a freelance video journalist and videographer for magazines like Missy Magazine or Cosmo (WDR). At the same time, she is developing her own documentary projects, such as “Niemals allein, immer zusammen” (June 2024). As an activist, she knows the film's political relevance to social struggles. For this reason, the actors of these movements are the focus of her films and videos. Her work behind the camera is characterized by the fact that she prefers to shoot in teams of women and/or LGBTIQA. As a director, she tries to find stories that overcome powerlessness through resistance or solidarity.
