After finishing her Master of Arts in German Studies, Laura-Sophie Nied worked as a docent for Audiovisuel Publishing (core theme: Documentaries) at the Journalistic Seminar of the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. Meanwhile she worked as an doc-editor at ZDFinfo. 2020 she stared working as an editor for funk. Currently she is in charge of the reportage-format „follow me.reports“ on YouTube and Snapchat. Until the End of April 2021 she was also in charge of „TRU DOKU“ a doc-format on YouTube and Instagram. With „TRU DOKU“ she is nominated for the Grimme Award 2021.
